FULL-TIME JOB DEVELOPER/EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST

About the position Envision Unlimited is a large non-profit agency committed to providing services for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or mental illness. Our programs include, but are not limited to, ABA Therapy for Children, Community Day Program, Community Living, Mental Health, Employment and Career Services, and Foster Care. The primary role of this position is to develop competitive employment placements for adults and high school students with developmental and other disabilities. This includes establishing business relationships with employers to facilitate and secure employment for our members. The responsibilities involve opening and managing client cases with state agencies, developing competitive community employment opportunities based on member career goals and choices, and establishing in-person employer contacts weekly through various job development activities. The position also requires meeting new caseload clients for employment services intake meetings, developing job orders, and establishing interview schedules as part of the job match process. Follow-up on employer contacts, participation in pre-employment meetings, and advising staff and members of the job market as it relates to their employment goals are also essential tasks. Additionally, the role includes maintaining employer files, meeting or exceeding department goals based on contractual obligations, participating in ongoing training in the Individual Placements and Supports (IPS) employment model, and completing QIDP responsibilities for a Job Placement caseload. The position requires proficiency in the use of Quantum and other required computer programs, as well as successful completion of all required training for certification as a Direct Support Professional (DSP). A valid driver's license is necessary, and the employee will represent the agency at community and business functions, communicate employer complaints to supervisory staff, and assist members with employment onboarding. Responsibilities • Develop competitive, community employment opportunities based on member career goals and choices. , • Establish six in-person employer contacts weekly via face-to-face visits, telephone calls, meetings, networking, and other job development activities. , • Meet new caseload clients in person for employment services intake meetings. , • Develop job orders and establish interview schedules as part of the job match process. , • Follow up on all employer contacts. , • Participate in pre-employment meetings and advise staff and members of the job market as it relates to their employment goals. , • Maintain employer files for the department. , • Meet or exceed department goals and outcomes based on contractual obligations with funding sources including but not limited to DRS. , • Participate in ongoing training in the Individual Placements and Supports (IPS) employment model. , • Implement the IPS employment model. , • Become proficient in the use of Quantum and other required computer programs. , • Complete QIDP responsibilities for a Job Placement caseload. , • Successfully complete all required training for certification as Direct Support Professional (DSP). , • Represent the agency at community and business functions. , • Communicate employer complaints/issues to the proper supervisory staff. , • Attend staff, job development, marketing, and other assigned committee meetings. , • Conduct mock interviews for members. , • Transport members to interviews when necessary. , • Assist with employment onboarding, including ensuring appropriate dress, grooming, etc. , • Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements • High School diploma; bachelor's degree preferred. , • Minimum of one year work experience in rehabilitation, job placement, or related field. , • Proven job placement experience preferred. , • Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to travel per the needs of the department. , • QIDP qualification preferred.
