Amazon’s Volunteering team is seeking an experienced Product Manager who is extraordinary at understanding customer needs to help scale community impact through volunteering across the United States. The Amazon Community Impact (ACI) team leads philanthropic initiatives focused on education, food security, disaster relief, housing affordability, and volunteering in communities across the globe (https://www.aboutamazon.com/impact/community). Key job responsibilities As a Product Manager for Volunteering you will have both product and program responsibilities. On the product side, you'll manage the lifecycle of volunteering products from concept to delivery by working backwards from our customers. To support a portfolio of volunteering opportunities for Amazonians, you'll define the vision, requirements, success metrics, and ongoing roadmap. You'll get buy-in from customers and stakeholders across business lines, make tradeoffs, and navigate business constraints to ensure a localized, high-quality volunteer experience for Amazonians. On the program side, you'll define the go-to-market strategy (e.g., how to best package various volunteering products to support a campaign) and collaborate with nonprofit organizations and internal stakeholders at all levels of the company. You'll help teams set and achieve volunteering goals to support a volunteering culture across the U.S. A successful candidate can both think big and dive deep into details and data to deliver results. They invent mechanisms that are scalable, know when to bias for action, and continuously seek opportunities to learn. They must be able to communicate concisely and effectively. They can navigate ambiguity and work well in a fast-paced, dynamic organization. This position is based in Arlington, Virginia or Seattle, Washington. Travel may be required up to 20% of the time. Basic Qualifications • 3+ years of product management experience • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements and prioritization • Experience with end-to-end product/program delivery • Preferred Qualifications • Experience contributing to roadmap strategy and definition, and building and driving adoption of new tools • Experience working with employees as key customers and developing global products or programs • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization • Experience working in corporate social responsibility or with nonprofits/NGOs • Experience in using analytical tools, such as QuickSight • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in respective local language of your customers • Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
