Expert Tutor for QA program

What you will do Our Tutors are the role models for the students studying on our Quality Assurance Engineering program. They mentor students, help them with difficult concepts and assignments, teach them the skills necessary to be a great QA professional. They guide students through the program and into their future careers, making sure all students get the most out of both regardless of their background. As a tutor you will be a core part of students’ educational process and will: • Mentor students during 1-1 video calls; you’ll be dealing with different questions from students including a deeper explanation of certain concepts, tools or skills, supporting and navigating students in their assignments. • Communicate with students via video during group Q&A sessions for “drop-in” questions. • Host webinars and other educational events for groups of students (about the content covered in our program, extracurricular skills, career and industry knowledge), or attend other non-educational meetings with students. • Share your professional expertise and best industry practices with the students. Requirements • 2+ years of experience working in the US Tech Industry (preferred). • 3+ years of work experience in QA (manual and automation, mobile experience is an advantage). • you are ready to dedicate 10-15 hours a week (or slightly more if you wish) to this project, sometimes on weekends. We appreciate it if you have: • teaching or tutoring experience. • background as a Senior QA and experience as a hiring manager. • your own experience as a student online, and the desire to help create the best place in the world to study QA. What we can offer you • Pay rate of $40 per hour. • Remote, part-time collaboration (10-15 hours per week, up to 20 hours per week can be discussed). • A schedule that’s convenient for you, there isn’t a focus on micromanaging. • In-house training on how to be a great tutor and role model for students, choose the appropriate tone of voice when communicating with students, improve soft skills. • Opportunities to develop as a public expert.
