Student Worker - Math/Statistics Tutor-Online Student Tutor
Position Summary/Purpose: Get paid to work remotely this fall, spring and summer. We are looking hire those that can tutor in both math and computer science. Our aim is to provide one on one academic support to online university students who need help in either in MAT-274, BUS-352, MAT-144 and MAT-154. Tutors work remotely but must reside within 30 miles of main campus. Qualifications: Math Tutor must have completed one of the following: MAT-144 or MAT-154. Statistics Tutor: must have completed one of the following: MAT-274 or BUS-352 Must have a minimum 3.5GPA Must have a minimum of am "A-" in the class for which you are applying to tutor. Must be willing to work between 10 and 20 hours a week. Have good communication skill on the phone. Self-driven
Responsibilities
Related to Purpose: Provide tutoring/coaching for students; reviewing course lectures, homework, etc. Review diagnostic assessments of students. Make outbound calls to set up tutoring appointments. Update CRM database with specific appointment notes. Maintain confidentiality of student records and services provided. May be requested to perform administrative duties as needed. Education: Grand Canyon Education is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment: Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program. Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student. Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University. You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements. Physical Requirements: Sitting:2-8 hours a day Fine Eye to Hand Coordination: Continuously Work Environment: Remote.
