Remote - Senior Staff Accountant

Description This is an exciting opportunity to join the New Charter Technologies Corporate Accounting organization during the accelerated growth and scale of the Company. We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant who will maintain all aspects of the department’s full cycle accounting process, including preparing journal entries & variance explanations, performing account reconciliations, following up to resolve issues, and engaging in special projects throughout the month as necessary. Remote opportunity . In this role, you will: • Own the full-cycle accounting and month-end close activities by ensuring transactions are recorded timely and accurately • Prepare journal entries for all accounting-related activities (AR, AP, cash, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, prepaids, intercompany, month-end accruals, etc.) • Reconcile the general ledger accounts in accordance with Corporate Policies and Procedures • Work with Accounting Manager and Controller to research and explain variances to forecast and budget • Ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles • Drive process improvements and lead exciting accounting transformation projects to achieve scalability, efficiency, and productivity • Support with year-end audit and schedule requests from external auditors • Support management with M&A-related projects To be considered, you will have: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience • Experience with full-cycle accounting, month-end closing process, and variance analysis • Solid understanding of GAAP and the ability to apply the concepts to specific situations • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate-level skills in Excel to perform analysis using pivot and lookup tables • Microsoft Dynamics Business Central/NetSuite/QuickBooks experience a must • Positive demeanor, collaborative, and solution-oriented • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work in a team-based environment • Excellent verbal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with senior and executive leaders Who We are: At New Charter, we’re building a caliber of business the IT industry hasn’t yet seen.
