This position is located in the Central Payroll Unit in the State Controller’s Office, within the Division of Executive Budget and Finance (DEBF). It will be headquartered at the DOA Office Building at 101 E. Wilson Street, Madison, WI 53703. The employee hired into this position will be expected to work from their headquarter location at least two days per week with the possibility of working from home the remaining days. Summary

This Payroll & Benefits Program Supervisor position coordinates administrative and payroll processing activities as well as other program management duties within the Central Payroll section. They will have direct management responsibility for several staff members. Program responsibilities include managing day-to-day technical operations and establishing efficient operating procedures and policies for accurate and timely preparation of payroll items under their purview. They will coordinate system modifications with business partners to execute statutory and legislative mandates and State of Wisconsin policy changes, help resolve complex system and agency issues and direct the development of related procedural documentation. This position will work collaboratively with the Section Chief to ensure that any policy or system design changes will remain consistent with overarching goals and expectations within Central Payroll and other enterprise components. This position is in the schedule-range (81-03) with an hourly rate between $38.50 and $43.00 ($80,080 - $89,440 annually). A 12-month probationary period is required. Per current DEBF policy, this position will be expected to report into their headquarters location at least 2 days a week.
