Digital Consultants is seeking a dynamic professional to serve our team as an Accounting & Finance Specialist. Serving as a member of the headquarters’ administrative team, this individual will ensure various accounting and financial needs are met accurately and diligently for the internal team, as well as the firm’s clients. The ideal candidate has experience supporting various accounting, financial, and operational tasks, preferably within the private sector. This person must be organized, have a keen attention to detail, and be comfortable balancing multiple priorities, often under a tight timeframe. This is a full-time, hybrid position located in Alexandria, VA. Position Duties & Responsibilities • Manage the setup, maintenance, and closeout of projects and team members in various systems. • Assist Accounting & Finance Manager in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting. • Make recommendations for optimization and efficiency related to internal processes and procedures. • Record financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all vendors, subcontractors, and other expenses. • Posting expense reports. • Track credit card expenses and ensure proper record-keeping. • Work with HR to provide training for expense posting and other training areas as needed. • Perform General Ledger and record journal entries. • Support various business operational needs and provide additional support to team members and clients, as needed. Requirements • At least 1 year of related experience required, including experience in an accounting and/or finance role. • Understanding of GAAP and accounting principles. • Proficient in using Unanet with at least one year of experience. • Experience in financial operations/analysis, or other business responsibilities. • Proficient in MS Office and Excel with basic knowledge of formulas and functions. • Organized with meticulous attention to detail. • Positive attitude dedicated to client and customer service. • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients, both written and orally. • Problem solver who is comfortable working and figuring out issues independently with minimal supervision. • Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, and capacity to prioritize work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. • Strong organizational and planning skills, and ability to work independently. Physical Requirements: The candidate must, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to sit, stand, use computers and monitors, and perform duties in an office environment for extended periods. The candidate must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion (e.g., move a case of paper or similar task) that may occur on occasion.
