About the position The Director of Decision Analytics and Underwriting plays a crucial role in the success of Cash Factory USA by providing leadership and strategic guidance in customer risk management and profitability programs. This hands-on position involves developing and implementing underwriting and loan performance strategies for the consumer lending business, ensuring loan portfolio growth, and collaborating with senior management on product development and pricing. Responsibilities Develop and implement underwriting and customer performance models. , Build, implement, and monitor models/strategies for responsiveness, pricing, and effectiveness of marketing channels. , Monitor trends and maintain knowledge of market and industry developments related to underwriting and pricing models. , Manage key metrics of the loan portfolio to achieve a risk/reward balance. , Create and monitor lending policies and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulations. , Ensure loan documentation is timely, complete, and accurate. , Participate in the strategic planning process with senior managers. , Serve as the principal technical advisor for consumer loan loss experience. , Present information and business plans to the Credit Committee. Requirements B.S. degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research or other quantitative disciplines; Master's degree preferred. , Six to eight years of experience in lending principles, model development, and deployment in a consumer financial fintech or lending company. , Minimum of 3 years of management experience. , Advanced SQL and Python coding experience. , Advanced knowledge of statistics and analytical tools. , Experience in building statistical models from start to finish. , Strong leadership abilities and interpersonal skills.
