Key Responsibilities
Server and Middleware Management: Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve server issues across various environments (development, testing, and production). Infrastructure Oversight: Ensure the smooth operation of both on-premise and cloud infrastructure, including servers, UPS systems, air conditioning, power, and security systems. Collaboration: Promote a culture of teamwork and knowledge-sharing among IT colleagues. Client Support: Respond to customer queries related to system issues and provide solutions and workarounds for complex problems. Cloud & Infrastructure Design: Contribute to the design and development of scalable, flexible infrastructure systems, utilizing the latest in cloud technology. Documentation & Best Practices: Stay up to date with IT industry standards and ensure best practices are followed for system administration and DevOps. Support During Off-Hours: Participate in rotational on-call support, ensuring availability to respond to critical issues outside standard work hours.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). At least 2 years of experience in system or network administration. Proficiency in server management (Linux RHEL/CentOS 7/8 and Windows Server 2012/2016). Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Python, Bash, and PowerShell. Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry). Strong understanding of server and application monitoring (Dynatrace, LogDNA, SysDig). Ability to analyze and solve complex problems while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Knowledge of Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, IBM Cloud) and DevOps tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory). Preferred: Experience working with cloud-native applications and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with Agile methodologies in an infrastructure context. Excellent communication skills and a willingness to mentor junior team members.
