Accountant

ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa is a global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company partnering with a USA-based client in the healthcare sector. We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant with experience in USA accounting standards and practices.

This remote role requires a detail-oriented and proactive professional who can handle the accounting function in alignment with US GAAP and healthcare industry regulations.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING

• Working Hours: This role requires you to work USA hours, Mon - Fri, from 9am to 6pm EST time (16h00pm to 01h00am South African time - subject to change depending on daylight savings)
• Work Environment: This is a remote role for South African Citizens only.
• Internet Requirements: A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and the ability to support a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory. Applicants without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered.
• Power Backup: A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding and power outages. Applicants without a power backup cannot be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US accounting standards (GAAP)
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
• Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and financial audits
• Collaborate with the US-based finance team to optimize financial processes
• Ensure compliance with healthcare finance regulations and company policies

Requirements

• South African Citizen (SA ID Required)
• Must have relevant accounting experience, specifically with USA-based companies
• Experience with healthcare accounting is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
