Remote Medical Accounts Receivable Representative | WFH

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Accounts Receivable Representative to join our team in a remote capacity. This role is crucial in managing denied or underpaid insurance claims with a focus on professional communication and compliance. Key Responsibilities • Process and resolve denied or underpaid insurance claims by engaging with insurance carriers, patients, and healthcare providers. • Communicate effectively and professionally with clients to address inquiries and concerns. • Identify and report payer trends that may affect revenue streams and reimbursement processes. • Maintain adherence to HIPAA regulations to ensure the confidentiality of patient information. • Ensure accurate documentation and thorough record-keeping. • Follow established procedures to enhance operational efficiency. Required Skills • Strong proficiency in computer applications and exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities. • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment. • Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding is preferred, although not mandatory. • Prior experience in medical billing is advantageous; however, we are willing to train the right candidate. Qualifications • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; coursework in medical billing or higher education is a plus.
