Responsibilities • Operate and maintain a commercial vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition at all times. • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials. • Navigate routes effectively while adhering to delivery schedules. • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other necessary documentation. • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise. • Follow all local, state, and federal regulations related to trucking operations. Skills • Proficient in operating various types of trucks including tractor-trailer, flatbed, tanker, roll-off truck, and manual transmission vehicles. • Experience with route driving and understanding of logistics for efficient transportation. • Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading cargo as needed. • Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety practices. • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on the road. • Strong communication skills for interaction with clients and team members.
