High voltage Civil/Mechanical Engineer

We are present in more than 65 countries and participate in different industry associations. Our specialized Owner's Engineering team supervises the construction and commissioning phases of the projects, reporting the progress of work and ensuring the quality of the work in the different disciplines: civil, electrical and mechanical engineering. We are currently looking for a High voltage Civil/Mechanical Engineer for a 420MWdc Solar PV project in Texas, USA. The principal duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide engineering expertise throughout project execution phase.
  • Review Interconnection Agreements, Interconnection Study documents, and other relevant information to make recommendations on equipment specifications.
  • Coordinate with ISOs, utilities, and external contractors to identify and interpret engineering requirements.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and make recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain internal processes to document engineering milestones and implementation plans for projects in execution phase.
  • Review internal and EPC designs for project substation and interconnection technical requirements.
  • Monitor project commissioning to ensure all engineering design requirements are implemented.
  • Identify FERC, NERC, IEEE, and other regulatory requirements
  • Act as a technical resource for engineering topics throughout project execution phase.
  • Attend in-person and remote meetings with interconnecting utilities. Review owner-furnished equipment technical submittals to ensure compliance with project technical requirements and contractual obligations.

  • Experience as Field Engineer, Foreman or Superintendants in High Voltage for utilities or contractors.
  • Geographical availability
  • Driving license.
