Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Tool and Die Maker to join our team in San Antonio, TX. Position Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate, repair, and maintain various tools, dies, and fixtures used in the manufacturing process
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to create precise tooling components
  • Operate manual machining equipment, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
  • Utilize measuring instruments, both in the shop and out on the aircraft, to ensure accuracy and quality of work
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop innovative solutions for tooling needs
  • Perform inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
  • Assist with aircraft structures III work, including assembly, installation, and repair tasks as needed
  • Fabrication of aircraft parts

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5 + years of experience as a Machinists or Tool Maker
  • 5 + years of experience operating manual mill and manual lathe machines
  • 5 + years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • 5 + years of experience working with precision measuring tools
  • Ability to work variable shifts (i.e. scheduled and unscheduled overtime; weekends and holidays) to support mission requirements and workload

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Knowledge of aircraft structures III and related processes
  • Ability to work on aircraft structures III tasks as required
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
