Workers' Compensation Defense Paralegal

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced, highly organized and detail-oriented Workers' Compensation Defense Paralegal to join our legal team. As a Paralegal, you will provide essential support to a Partner in our Encino office. Duties: - Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases - Assist Partner in preparing legal documents, such as correspondence, discovery, pleadings, and settlement documents - Review new mail - Organize and maintain case files and documents - Review medical records - Negotiate liens - Coordinate with clients and other parties involved in the legal process - Prepare and file legal forms and documents with the appropriate courts or agencies - Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and other materials - Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of case-related information Experience: - Must have a paralegal certificate - Must have at least three years of experience as a Paralegal in Workers' Compensation - Familiarity with EAMs and E-filing - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Familiarity with legal administrative procedures and terminology - Knowledge of phone etiquette when communicating with clients or other parties involved in the legal process Position is fully in-person in our Encino office. Candidate must be able to work 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Excellent benefits offered, including a fully paid medical and dental plan for the employee.
