Please take a moment to review the position responsibilities and requirements below for the position Field Claim Adjuster- Palm Beach. Knowledge: • Investigate and assess damages to property • Determine the cause, scope, damage and subrogation potential • Analyze information gathered by investigation and report findings and recommendations • Examine claim forms and other records to determine insurance coverage • Interview or correspond with insured’s, claimants’ witnesses or their representatives • Consult police reports and inspect property damage to determine extent of liability • Negotiate claims settlements and recommend appraisal, mediation or litigation when settlement cannot be negotiated • Refer questionable claims to management for further investigation or settlement Skills: • Exceptional Interpersonal and Customer Service communication skills; written and oral • Initiative and ability to think logically and critically • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision • Strong time-management skills and organization skills • Strong computer skills with a penchant to adapt easily to learning new software and procedures Education & Experience: • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience • 5-20 or 6-20 license is required • Insurance industry experience required • Valid Driver’s License and Safe Driving Record required • Knowledge of Xactimate is preferred • IICRS, HAAG Certifications a plus • Some college preferred Physical Requirements: • Ability to Climb (stairs/ladders) to conduct roof inspections • Ability to Stoop, Kneel, Crouch, or Crawl in confined spaces • Ability to lift 70 lbs Federated National is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer, DFW, offering a comprehensive benefit program including, Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, with a great management team and working environment.
