This individual would be responsible for developing and maintaining a high quality and profitable commercial loan portfolio and introducing the First Bank and Trust products and services to prospective clients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop and maintain a profitable commercial loan portfolio. • Interview applicants to develop credit and financial information to determine if a loan is an acceptable risk. • Consult with customers to provide financial advice and obtain current credit and financial information as needed. • Work to attract new loan and business customers. • Represent the bank in the community to develop business and promote FB&T products and services. • Identifies and explores business development opportunities within the community through bank customers, business owners, real estate investors, builders, realtors, attorneys, accountants, etc. • Prepare and present loan requests to the loan committee for approval. • Manage loan portfolio relating to maintenance, modifications, and renewals on existing credits. • Monitors the asset quality of the commercial loan portfolio including authorizing credit and maintaining appropriate underwriting standards. Monitors and supports the loan portfolio relating to origination, billing, outstanding balances, delinquencies, charge offs, fee income, interest income and return on assets. • Adheres to regulatory compliance, governing documentation, record keeping, origination, collection laws and regulatory reports. • Correspond with loan processors, underwriters, and credit analysts.
