Develop and implement a strategic vision for HSBC's agriculture portfolio, in alignment with the bank's sustainable development goals. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in the agriculture sector, and use this knowledge to inform and guide the bank's approach. Lead a team of agriculture specialists and provide them with guidance, support and mentorship to ensure they are equipped to deliver exceptional service to clients. Oversee the development and maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders in the agriculture industry, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies. Collaborate with other departments within the bank to identify and pursue opportunities for innovation and growth within the agriculture sector. Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities for HSBC's agriculture portfolio. Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks associated with financing agricultural projects. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies related to agriculture financing. Monitor and report on the performance of HSBC's agriculture portfolio, and make recommendations for improvements or adjustments as needed. Represent HSBC at industry events and conferences, and maintain a strong presence and reputation in the agriculture community. Foster a culture of sustainability and social responsibility within the bank's agriculture team and ensure all initiatives align with the bank's values and goals. Keep abreast of developments and advancements in sustainable agriculture practices, and incorporate these into the bank's approach to financing and supporting agriculture projects. Continuously seek out opportunities for collaboration and partnerships with organizations and institutions that share HSBC's commitment to sustainable agriculture. Communicate regularly with senior management to provide updates on the progress and performance of HSBC's agriculture portfolio.
