Job Description: Experience: 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in QA We are looking for a QA Engineer with strong hand on experience in ETL Testing, Report Testing, UI Testing, API Testing, Automation, SQL, Python. This is primarily a Data Eng QA role. Having UI/UX/API testing experience is a plus. As the QA Engineer, you will own the validation of data engineering project outputs, acting as the point of control for the release of developments to production, and for the validation of technical and functional requirements. Roles and Responsibilities: • Analyze data for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and validity across different data sources. • Identify data anomalies, outliers, and inconsistencies. • Design and execute comprehensive data quality test plans for data pipelines, ETL processes, data warehouses, analytics front-end and API applications. • Develop test cases to validate data integrity against defined business rules and quality standards. • Continuously monitor data quality metrics to identify trends and emerging issues. • Generate detailed reports on data quality issues, root causes, and corrective actions. • Work closely with data engineers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve data quality issues and support the on-time delivery of data engineering projects. • Utilize data quality tools and automation frameworks to streamline testing processes. • Develop and maintain automated data quality checks and validation scripts. TECHNICAL SKILLS: • 3-5 years of experience with writing complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data. • 1-2 years of experience with big data tools and cloud: GCP Big Query/Snowflake etc. • 1-2 years of experience with validation of visualization using BI reporting tools like MicroStrategy, superset, tableau etc. • Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python etc. • Knowledge of data modelling and data warehousing principles. • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement. • Strong analytic skills related to working with structured and unstructured datasets from multiple data sources. • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
