For higher-risk users, our platform integrates seamlessly with the broader security stack to dynamically implement controls. Backed by Toba Capital, Ventures, Craft Ventures, MassMutual Ventures, Alumni Ventures, Firestreak Ventures, and Antler, we empower CISOs to proactively manage human risk—the leading cause of cybersecurity breaches—and build safer, more resilient organizations. The Role: As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Dune Security, you will play a critical role in ensuring our platform's stability, scalability, and security. You will own the reliability of our infrastructure, optimize performance, and implement robust security measures to mitigate potential threats. What We’re Looking For: • 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering. • Deep expertise in cloud platforms, preferably AWS. • Experience with load balancing (ELB), auto-scaling, and distributed systems. • Strong understanding of networking, security best practices, and bot mitigation techniques. • Proficiency in observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, Splunk). • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and automated testing for reliability. • Experience in SQL and NoSQL database performance tuning and optimization. • Familiarity with incident response, post-mortem analysis, and resilience engineering. • Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment. Nice to Have: • Experience in cybersecurity or security-related SRE work. • Experience with machine learning-based anomaly detection for security threats. • Exposure to self-healing infrastructure and engineering. Additional Details: • Location: NYC. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance of our TriBeca, Manhattan office. • Hours: Full-time. • Compensation: Competitive salary, equity package, and benefits package.
