About the position HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is seeking a Laboratory Assistant PRN to join our Laboratory team. This role is essential in ensuring that we continue to provide all patients with high-quality, efficient care. The Laboratory Assistant will utilize phlebotomy skills for the collection of patient samples, process and distribute patient reports, and provide clerical support to the laboratory department. This position is part of a full-service, 420+ bed acute care hospital that has been dedicated to providing comprehensive, quality care to the northeast Houston community for over 25 years. Responsibilities • Utilize phlebotomy skills for collection of patient samples. , • Use the computer for processing of patient specimens before and after collection. , • Process and distribute patient reports. , • Provide clerical support to laboratory department. Requirements • BLS Required. , • Phlebotomy Training Certificate preferred. , • One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
