Position SummaryThe Operations Data Analyst oversees company-wide databases to support customer and regulatory reporting requirements. This role is responsible for developing and implementing standardized, optimized processes for data reporting, including algorithm creation and process improvements. The analyst evaluates data, identifies trends, and provides detailed variation reports for internal stakeholders. Compensation will be based on experience. This position is based in Houston, Texas, and reports to the Senior Vice President of Engineering and Planning.About Pilot Water Solutions (PWS):Pilot Water Solutions (PWS) is a leading name in water midstream, offering comprehensive, full life cycle water management solutions. Operating in the Permian, Eagle Ford, Rockies, Haynesville, and Appalachia regions, PWS delivers best-in-class service and reliability through its strategically located assets in core basins.Key Responsibilities:Manage company-wide data systems and databases to meet customer and regulatory reporting needs.Design and implement streamlined data reporting processes, including algorithm development.Analyze data to generate trend and variation reports for internal teams.Utilize advanced data management tools, including Excel and database management software.Optimize reporting methods and develop new processes to improve efficiency.Understand or quickly learn power usage calculations.Use and support asset management software such as Maximo.Leverage data analytics tools, including Power BI, to enhance reporting capabilities.Collaborate effectively with multiple internal teams to align on goals and objectives.Document workflows and processes to ensure operational continuity.Provide backup support for production SCADA management.Perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Advanced skills in database management and data analysis software (SQL knowledge is a plus).Proficient in Python programming and process optimization.Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear, concise reports.Experience in developing and maintaining processes and procedures.Preferred Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of experience in the oil and gas, water management, or midstream industries.Bachelor’s degree in Data Engineering or equivalent is preferred.
