Civil Engineer - LNG Project

Petroplan is working exclusively with a global energy company to staff an exciting LNG production and export terminal mega-project. We are recruiting a top caliber Engineering professional for a Civil Engineering position, based in Houston, TX who meets the following criteria.Key AccountabilitiesDeliver progress reports to senior management, outlining milestones and challenges.Contribute to weekly site engineering reports for stakeholder updates.Ensure timely issue resolution and adherence to project schedules.Maximize resource efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.TechnicalProvide technical support to resolve construction-related engineering challenges.Review and validate survey deliverables and address site interface concerns.Utilize engineering tools and drafting software.Interface with regulatory bodies, including LADOTD, USACE, FERC, and LDEQ to ensure compliance.HSEQEnsure compliance with Company & Project and industry HSSE policies, standards, and regulations throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.Ensure all design, construction, and maintenance activities comply with industry codes, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.Contribute to HSEQ performance, promoting a positive and collaborative team culture.LeadershipLead civil engineering activities during LNG facility construction, ensuring compliance with design, safety, and schedule requirements.Collaborate with contractors and teams to resolve issues and ensure proper execution of work.Serve as a technical resource and primary contact for internal and external stakeholders.Work Processes & SystemsApprove civil design documents, drawings, and calculations to meet project and industry standards.Address site discrepancies, including survey deliverables and fit-up/interface issues.Provide input to field RFIs and collaborate with contractors to resolve issues.Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation, including reports and drawings.Skills & ExperienceStrong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).Proactive self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities.Detail-oriented with excellent accuracy and problem-solving abilities.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint.Flexible in adapting to changing demands and managing adjustments.Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (required).Professional Engineer license (preferred).8 years of experience in refining, petrochemical, or LNG projects, including 2 years in EPC environments.Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
