About the position The Lead, Sports Marketing role at Under Armour is designed to enhance and manage the partnership with the University of Notre Dame, serving as the primary liaison between the university and Under Armour. This position is pivotal in ensuring that the outfitting and wear testing processes are executed seamlessly, fostering strong relationships with university administration, coaches, equipment managers, and medical personnel. The individual in this role will collaborate closely with Under Armour's product organization, including product line managers and licensing managers, to curate essential products for athletes. The overarching goal is to ensure that Under Armour's brand presence and storytelling resonate on campus, aligning with the company's broader brand strategy and partnership objectives. In this strategic role, the Lead, Sports Marketing will oversee high-profile sports marketing partnerships and initiatives, driving long-term growth strategies for the Under Armour brand. The responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service, effectively communicating Under Armour's brand strategy and marketing plans to Notre Dame, and continuously enhancing external relationships to identify growth opportunities. The individual will manage all team product needs, including uniforms, training gear, and accessories, while also forecasting product requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Additionally, the role involves managing contractual product allotments and optimizing the use of these resources to ensure teams are outfitted with top-tier gear. The Lead will also participate in various events, including games and campus activities, to strengthen the partnership and brand visibility. Responsibilities • Serve as the main point of contact between Under Armour and Notre Dame regarding outfitting and wear testing. , • Communicate Under Armour's brand strategy, marketing plans, and product lifecycle to Notre Dame. , • Build and enhance external relationships to identify growth opportunities for Under Armour. , • Oversee all team product needs, including uniforms, training gear, and accessories, in partnership with Notre Dame. , • Present comprehensive product offerings and educate staff and athletes about Under Armour products. , • Forecast product needs and collaborate with cross-functional teams within Under Armour. , • Manage contractual product allotment and optimize its use for outfitting teams. , • Partner with Senior Lead on product operations and marketing efforts related to Notre Dame. , • Attend games, campus events, and industry events as needed to represent Under Armour. Requirements • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience. , • 3-5 years of experience in interpersonal relationships with NCAA athletes, coaches, or athletic administrators. , • 2-3 years of sales and/or customer service experience preferred. , • Prior experience working with university teams or athletic departments in a marketing or support role is preferred. , • Understanding of the collegiate and professional sports landscape. , • Proven ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships. , • Proficient knowledge of the NCAA landscape and athletic department operations. , • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. , • Ability to create and deliver effective presentations to diverse audiences. , • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple complex projects. Nice-to-haves • Experience with marketing strategies specific to collegiate sports. , • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms. , • Knowledge of product lifecycle management in sports apparel.
