Business Address: 4300 80th Street, Delta, BC V4K 3N3 Job type: Permanent, Full-time Work Location: Delta, BC Language of Work: English Number of Positions: 1 The Financial Operations Analyst is responsible for all aspects of controlling, reporting, and profitability analysis for a specific engine program. Duties include implementing, maintaining, and managing financial oversight for individual projects, products, and overall program. Additional responsibilities include providing regular or ad-hoc reporting to internal departments and management as well as supporting Sales/Customer Support with the cost transparency necessary to monitor financial performance on key contracts. The role requires a broad understanding of operational and financial issues, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a complex organization. To be a successful candidate, an Associate Engineer should be: • Analyze the sales, costs, and earnings of the program as well as individual projects. • Create and monitor methods to improve the program operating result. • Prepare various monthly and ad hoc financial reports and interpret information pertaining to the performance and profitability of the program. • Support in the creation of business case calculations for individual products and fleet contract quotations, taking into account contractual framework conditions. • Support in the preparation of the annual operational/strategic budget planning process and periodic forecast updates. • Central point of contact for all financial issues relating to the program, including commercial support for the program management. • Implement cross-departmental projects to improve performance. • Create presentations for top management. • Assist with the external audit process. • Provide back up for other members of the Finance team. • Perform other relevant duties as assigned. Requirements for this position include: • Bachelor/University degree in a Business-related area. • Minimum 5 years experience in financial or accounting roles in an aviation or production environment. • Advanced expertise in SAP FI/CO modules, both in usage and in maintenance. • Fundamental understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). • Experience with budgeting and forecasting. • Ability to analyze and model financial information to actionable data and make recommendations. • Proficiency on all MS Office programs, especially MS Excel including macro programming, V-lookup, and pivot tables working with large amounts of data. • Experience with PowerBI and Tableau as an asset.
