Responsibilities

About the role: • Influence current monitoring implementations to identify opportunities and gaps in Observability, Automation and self-healing best practices • Working with a team of engineers focusing on observability and cloud security • Assist in developing strategies for observability across different platforms • Collaborate with product teams in architecting observability for end-to-end visibility through application code and infrastructure while focusing on security • Collaborate with other SRE teams to ensure telemetry data is aggregated and collected • Data onboarding of logs, metrics, and traces • Leveraging AIOps, GenAI and Machine Learning in current technology stack • Expand use of current observability tools in the collection of telemetry data • Collaborating with various application and infrastructure teams across various observability domains to reduce MTTR and MTTD through proactive monitoring and alerting • Effectively communicate current status of all projects, problems, and issues to the department AVP • Pro-actively identify opportunities for improvements to existing processes and for automation of time consuming tasks • Lead projects and provide vision and technical direction to oversee and ensure prompt completion of projects • Ensure that all systems under department are running at optimal efficiency/capacity • Evaluate, perform, and delegate system administrative functions as appropriate • Adhere to all company authored policy, procedure and standards documents • Assist the AVP with new technology research in order to stay abreast of the latest developments in ITS technology, trends, and knowledge, and legislation • Assist the AVP in determining the direction and enhancement of the system to meet the needs of the organization • Participate in an after-hours support as needed • Perform other duties as assigned • Conform with all company policies and procedures
