Facility Address: 325 C St W Dyess AFB, TX 79607 Clinical Psychologist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to) • The Clinical Psychologist conducts psychological evaluations using clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources as appropriate. • Establish psychiatric diagnoses based on the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders (DSM). • Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups, aiding medical and surgical patients in managing illnesses or injuries. • The Clinical Psychologist assists in the rehabilitation of patients. • Assess mental and emotional health through interviews, tests, collateral sources, and observations. • Offer counseling and therapy sessions to enhance individuals' well-being. • Conduct research to advance understanding of human behavior and develop new treatment methods. • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay informed of the latest research, techniques, and ethical guidelines. • Ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information in all psychological practice. • Respond effectively in emergency situations, following established protocols and documenting events. • The Clinical Psychologist maintains comprehensive documentation of all treatments provided as required by clinic directives. Clinical Psychologist - REQUIREMENTS • Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD). • Education: Graduate from an American Psychology Association accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology. • Internship/Residency: Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association. • Experience: Shall be required to demonstrate clinical competency for1 year as Clinical Psychologist. • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands. • Life Support Certification: Possess a current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification. • Security: Must possess ability to pass a government background check/security clearance.
