About the position The 2nd Shift Forklift Operator position at a leading glass recycling company involves supporting warehouse operations by efficiently loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials, and ensuring safety and compliance with operational standards. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall efficiency of the facility. Responsibilities ? Loading and unloading trucks effectively to keep up with shipping and receiving demands. , ? Moving and staging trailers as necessary for offloading and loading trailers. , ? Transporting materials to different locations within the facility in a timely manner. , ? Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency. , ? Inspecting vehicles before shift begins and filling out daily check list. , ? Operating and managing technical equipment on forklift efficiently. , ? Monitoring items being loaded for debris that could be harmful to machine or lower quality of product. , ? Identifying workspace safety hazards. , ? Complying to all OSHA, MS and safety management standards. , ? Meeting daily production requirements. , ? Daily clean up as instructed. , ? Filling out all necessary documentation per shift and placing in designated areas. , ? Attending weekly production meetings. , ? Attending monthly safety meetings. , ? Participating in ongoing training requirements. , ? Complying with all company policies according to employee handbook during onboarding. , ? Performing any other reasonable duties as and when requested. Requirements ? Some forklift experience required, training will be provided. , ? High school diploma or equivalent. , ?
