Safety Manager

Job Summary: The Safety Manager is responsible for all safety-related matters for select Fidelity BSG companies within the greater Baltimore area. This position will promote and uphold our culture of safety. Primary Responsibilities: ? Facilitate compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations such as OSHA and the FMCSA and our insurance carriers, customers, and contractors ? Provide training for field team members such as OSHA 10 & 30, CPR, First Aid & AED, Forklift, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, and others ? Conduct New Hire Safety Orientation and ensure PPE is received ? Participate in site visits as required by customers, General Contractors, and Insurance Carrier ? Schedule and conduct site inspections to ensure personnel are operating in a safe manner ? Plan, facilitate, and oversee crane lifts and other high-risk job tasks in-person ? Prepare and submit detailed site inspection, post-accident, and injury investigation reports ? Identify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries and auto accidents ? Actively participate with the Safety Committee Qualifications: ? High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelors Degree in Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field preferred ? 5+ years of experience in risk, safety, or claims related position is preferred ? Ability to speak Spanish is preferred ? Possess or obtain the necessary training credentials that facilitate certification of team members in various safety-related courses ?
