Position Title: Phlebotomist Monday: 4:30am-12:45pm Tuesday: 4:30am-12:45pm Thursday 4:30am-12:45pm Friday 4:30am-12:45pm (33 hours per week) DESCRIPTION: ? As a Phlebotomist/Specimen Collector, you will be a critical part of the quantitative drug testing analysis performed by our client. ? You will be responsible for efficiently and safely obtaining urine samples from patients for the purpose of laboratory testing. ? In this role you will be required to conduct observed and/or supervised specimen collections. ? Observed Collections are those requiring observation of patient providing sample either by direct vision, through a mirror, or through a camera. Supervised collects are those requiring supervision of patient providing sample by being in the same vicinity as the patient. RESPONSIBILITIES: ?Facilitate the collection, processing and shipping of blood & urine specimens ?Perform venipuncture to collect blood specimens ?Observe & collect urine specimens from patients ?Follow departmental policies to correctly identify the patient before any specimen is obtained Properly label and document the specimens and prepare for shipment ?Demonstrate customer service and compassion when interacting with patients, physicians, and clinic staff ?Communicate with, understand, and react effectively to a diverse patient population base ?Follow Universal Precautions and all OSHA standards when handling specimens ?Strictly adhere to HIPAA guidelines ?Inform Supervisor of low volume shifts, unusual problems or deviations from established procedures ?Maintain neat, clean, orderly patient/work areas at all times ?Order processing & office supplies as needed SKILLS/ ABILITIES REQUIRED: ?A minimum of 6 months of venipuncture experience required ?Verifiable track-record of providing excellent customer service ?Reliable with a strong work ethic ?Strong computer skills ? must be able to work in multiple programs and windows, manage email and reports ?Fast and accurate data entry ?Communicate clearly and concisely with accuracy, credibility and confidence PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ?Must be able to stand for long periods of time ?Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs If you?re interested, please: 1) Email with your Resume/Questions 2) OR call me at the number below Best Regards, Robert Johnson Senior Recruiting Consultant All Medical Personnel | Allied Health (214) 493-4209 (Call or Text) [email protected] Company DescriptionAbout Us: All Medical Personnel is a national leader in healthcare staffing and recognized by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) as one of the nation's largest healthcare staffing firms.
