Web Developer - Shopify Experience
About the position As a Shopify Developer, you will be responsible for developing custom Shopify themes and templates tailored to specific project requirements. Your role will involve translating design mock-ups and specifications into fully functional Shopify websites and applications, ensuring that the final product meets both aesthetic and functional standards. You will also be tasked with updating and modifying existing Shopify stores to enhance user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design, as well as adding new features to improve overall functionality. In addition to development tasks, you will test, develop, and customize third-party Shopify applications to extend the functionalities of the stores. Managing and creating Shopify accounts will also be part of your responsibilities, which includes account setup and optimization. You will oversee Shopify app updates, new app installations, and other app-related technical tasks as needed. Furthermore, you will manage backend databases tied to Shopify, particularly using Heroku, to improve uptime and ensure effective disaster recovery. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, marketers, and product developers, to ensure timely project delivery. You will also troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Shopify development and implementation. An important aspect of your role will be to assist with the selection, implementation, and transition to a Product Information Management (PIM) solution that integrates with Shopify. Throughout your work, you will ensure that best practices for UX, performance, SEO, security, and accessibility are implemented and upheld. Responsibilities ? Experience working with cross-functional teams, including designers, marketing specialists, product owners, and project managers , ? Experience working with the Shopify platform, including liquid templating language, APIs, and backend functionalities , ? Proficiency in web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, Liquid, and responsive design principles , ? Familiarity with backend database systems and management (Heroku, AWS) Nice-to-haves ? Experience with Google Tag Manager , ? Knowledge of Linux , ? Experience in E-commerce development
