Entry Level Skilled Laborer
Description:
- Assist skilled laborers in their tasks as required
- Perform physical labor such as lifting, moving, or disposing of materials
- Operate hand and power tools of various types
- Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and setup for various tasks
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
- Perform basic maintenance of work tools and equipment
- Participate in training and safety programs to improve skills and knowledge
- Identify potential hazards or safety concerns and report to supervisors
- Work in various weather conditions and environments
- Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor
- Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards
- Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials
- Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
- Assist in the building or construction of various things
- Handle and transport materials and equipment
- Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks
- Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Workers must be punctual and reliable
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
- Valid driver’s license may be required
