Job title: Certified Medical Assistant ( - Remote in VA in Norfolk, VA at Sentara Health Company: Sentara Health Job description: Sentara Health is hiring for a Certified Medical Assistant for Member Outreach- Remote in VAStatus: Full-Time, permanent position (40 hours)Standard working hours: 8am to 5pm EST, M-F.Location: Remote in Virginia onlyJob responsibilities:Productivity- Need to make calls daily (40 calls/day); 90% outbound/ 10% inboundWill use EPIC and JIVA and QNXTSchedule member appts for member annual wellness visitsUpdating member charts and putting notes for primary care, for refilling prescriptions or any necessary care that is needed immediatelyScheduling telehealth if neededEducation:High School Diploma or equivalent REQUIREDBLS REQUIRED within 90 days of hire.Certification/Licensure:CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or CMA- Certified Medical Assistant or RMA- Registered Medical Assistant or EMT- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) REQUIREDExperience:1 year Clinical/Administrative experience REQUIREDCustomer Service/Front Desk experience acceptableSentara Health Plans provides health plan coverage to close to one million members in Virginia.
