Our commitment to workplace excellence has earned us the Peter Barron Stark Award for highest associate satisfaction, and we’re looking for a visionary leader to join our team and drive strategic growth.About the Role: Drives the organization’s learning and development programs with some direction, provides leadership and expertise to elevate performance levels by developing, managing and implementing credit union wide learning and development programs to enhance member service and efficiencies. The Director, Learning & Development serves as the expert resource regarding methodologies, assessments and measurement tools with the purpose of ensuring a well-trained and knowledgeable staff, supporting the credit union’s growth and stability to help the credit union meet its’ established strategic objectives. Works closely with Senior Manager, Human Resources to create a cohesive approach towards excellence in both Learning and Development and Human Resources and create a synergistic environment for the entire Associate Experience team. Must have working knowledge of Human Resource’s principles and legalities as the goal is for a more unified team driving company initiatives and improvement of our culture. Drives and maintains a high level of service quality and improvement of the associate experience. Interfaces with all Associates in a high energy, enthusiastic, positive and professional manner.Scope:Develops, implements, and supervises the Credit Union’s Learning Organization culturethrough various training and incentive programs. Ensures that a well-rounded curriculum of leadership excellence, service, operational, technical, sales and professional development is offered.Drive leadership programs that address the needs of leaders at all levels and creates paths for high potentials. Works with all teams to establish leadership core competencies in all human resource and learning and development work.Leadership & Strategic Oversight
  • Mentor and lead a high-performing team focused on business development and outreach.
  • Develop annual goals, budgets, and KPIs for affinity partnerships and community engagement programs.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and market opportunities to refine and enhance our business development strategy.
  • Provide regular updates to the executive team and board on growth initiatives and impact.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Additional professional training/certification a plus.
  • MBTI and other evaluation certifications are a plus.
  • 7-10 years managing a human resource and learning function, preferably in financial services, however, not required.
  • Proven experience in curriculum design and course delivery, with knowledge of adult learning principles.
  • Industry affiliations that support relevant knowledge and practices in training field.

Monetary Growth:
  • Final offers based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The range for the Director of Learning and Development role is $130,000.00 to $160,000.00 annually.
  • 401(k) with a 3% employer contribution AND a dollar-for-dollar matching of up to 5%.
