• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in Environmental, Health and Safety, Environmental Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Sustainability, Procurement, Operations or relevant areas.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in environmental science, engineering, sustainable business (e.g., biology, chemistry, economics, finance, etc) or equivalent degree.
• Experience in implementing initiatives to improve sustainable manufacturing and/or operations.
• Experience in procurement lifecycle, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Sourcing, Supplier Management, Vendor Management, or Purchasing at a global company.
• Experience working in hardware, semiconductor, storage, memory, electromechanical components or related field.

The Supply Chain Sustainability and Net Zero team is responsible for driving transformational change and leading Google towards meeting its Scope 3 commitments and Net Zero GHG emissions goals. In this role, you will partner with key suppliers to define and execute Net Zero strategy. Working with Commodity Managers, you will support and encourage suppliers to prioritize sustainability performance. Through your understanding of the industry and its supply chains, you will identify the supplier's Scope 3 hotspots and appropriate carbon reduction solutions. (Colorado only*) Minimum full-time salary range between $142,000 - $152,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. *Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Engage suppliers and influence them to embark on the decarbonization journey and enable them to reduce supplier emissions.
• Review supplier decarbonization roadmaps and keep the suppliers accountable to the milestones, alongside supporting them to achieve their Net Zero commitments.
• Identify decarbonization best practices for the semiconductor sector and socialize with the suppliers.
• Act as Sustainability and Net Zero Advisor for hardware, semiconductor, storage, memory, electromechanical components or related fields.
• Identify programmatic ways to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the supplier engagement program across different tiers of the supplier base.
