Fedex is hiring for Retail Customer Service Associate As a Retail Customer Service Associate at FedEx, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and support to our customers. You will be responsible for assisting customers with their shipping needs, answering inquiries, and providing information about FedEx services. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. Key Responsibilities: 1. Customer Interaction: • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shipping and packing needs. • Provide information on FedEx products and services, including shipping options, delivery times, and costs. • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and efficiently. 2. Service and Sales: • Promote and sell FedEx products and services to meet customer needs. • Assist customers with packaging their items securely to ensure safe delivery. • Offer additional services such as printing, copying, and office supplies. 3. Transaction Management: • Process shipping transactions accurately using FedEx systems. • Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions securely and efficiently. • Ensure all shipping documentation is completed correctly and legibly. 4. Operational Support: • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the customer service counter and surrounding areas. • Restock supplies and materials as needed to ensure smooth operations. • Follow company policies and procedures for shipping, handling, and safety. 5. Technical Proficiency: • Operate point-of-sale systems, shipping software, and other relevant technology. • Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues with shipping equipment and systems. 6. Team Collaboration: • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals and objectives. • Assist with training new employees and sharing best practices for customer service and sales. 7. Compliance: • Adhere to all FedEx policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to security and privacy. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for shipping and handling. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Previous experience in retail, customer service, or a related field is preferred. Skills: • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions and documentation. • Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems. Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift and handle packages up to 50 pounds. • Standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as bending and reaching.
