Overview Connoisseur Travel is looking for a unique individual to join our Meetings and Events team. This person will assist with senior level meetings, incentives, special events, and group air movements with executive and high-profile clients in a fast-paced environment. This individual will also handle basic administrative duties as needed for the department... We are looking for someone with superior communication and organizational skills that is coachable, proactive, passionate, and ready to join a dynamic team. This person will assist our Meetings and Events team in their work with clients, hotels, tour operators, and other suppliers/vendors. The overarching goal is to plan and help execute events with the highest level of service to a demanding clientele. Note: This position requires completion of a one-hour assessment to measure important skills required for this position. Consult with customers via e-mail, telephone and face-to-face to determine objectives and requirements for events such as board and sales meetings, incentive trips, destination weddings and other group travel. ? Coordinate those needs internally across departments within CTL. ? Research destinations, hotels, and meeting details and make recommendations to meetings team based on needs of individual clients. ? Assist in coordination of services for events, such as flights, accommodations and transportation for participants, facilities, catering, signage, special needs, and event security. ? Assist with departments administrative tasks as needed including building event registration sites, scheduling relevant event-specific reports, and doing post event profitability analysis. ? Read trade publications, and network with other meetings professionals to keep abreast of meeting management standards and trends. ? Attend webinars and industry events to cultivate relationships with Connoisseur preferred partners and travel industry providers. Qualifications Our ideal candidate: ? 2+ years of experience in the travel or events industry or in an administrative / support role ? Proactive and curious ? Embraces change and can prioritize time-sensitive projects ??we move fast! ? Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail, with absolute commitment to quality ? Proficient with computers including using Microsoft, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint ? Strong math, research, and problem-solving skills ? Enjoys using and learning technology / software which increase efficiencies in our workflow ? A ??eople person??who enjoys building positive internal and external client relationships Benefits ?
