About the Role

We are seeking a part-time veterinarian to provide professional services remotely via a telemedicine platform. This position is ideal for a veterinarian looking to deliver care outside the traditional clinic setting, particularly during nights and weekends. You will work closely with a medical director and a collaborative team to evaluate pets, consult with owners, and prescribe treatments when medically appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver virtual consultations and follow-ups using a secure online portal
  • Evaluate pets based on medical history, data, and client communication
  • Provide expert guidance, treatment plans, and prescriptions when suitable
  • Maintain accurate, compliant medical records for all interactions
  • Uphold high standards of veterinary practice and ethics in a telehealth environment
  • Adhere to data privacy and security standards
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
  • Active veterinary license in good standing in at least one U.S. state
  • Minimum 3 years of post-graduate experience as a practicing veterinarian
  • Strong communication and medical writing skills
  • Comfortable with video consultations and digital recordkeeping
  • Reliable internet connection and access to phone and desktop computer
  • Willingness to work night and/or weekend shifts
  • Compassion, problem-solving ability, and a passion for animal welfare
