Job title: SHRM Adjunct Instructor Company: Columbus Technical College Job description : Columbus Technical College is seeking an individual to serve as an adjunct for Societies Human Resource Management Certification (SHRM) (non-credit). Under minimal supervision, this individual will prepare lesson plans for classroom instruction; evaluate students’ progress in attaining goals, objectives, and student learning outcomes, and attend staff meetings. Further requirements include assisting with recruitment, and retention. This position requires day, evening, and/or on-line instruction. This position is part-time/non-exempt. Responsibilities: Prepare material for SHRM class Coordinate SHRM curriculum or content of classes, lectures, or other educational materials Oversee the operations of certification Staying abreast of changes in the SHRM industry Ensures adherence to technical college and safety requirements in classrooms and labs by following established procedures Ensures consistency in syllabi, lesson plans, educational materials, assessments, and other appropriate course work based on the SHRM guidelines Monitors use of and maintains supplies, equipment and/or facilities for assigned program Identifies Assists with registration and orientation functions Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business Administration, or related field. SHRM Certification Two years in teaching or training. Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Application Deadline: Position available until filled.
