Job title: Figure Drawing Model Company: Sandhills Community College Job description : Summary Visual Arts Figure Model will enable Fine Art Students to draw the human body by posing for class participants. Essential Functions Pose for fine arts figure drawing course (Monday and Wednesday afternoons, 1-4pm) Be able to provide a full range of traditional life drawing poses, from gestures to sustained poses, as required by tradition and the instructor. Provide traditional gestures and poses as well as anatomical studies. The model poses without clothing in figure drawing. Qualifications Previous experience as an artist's model or dance or theater experience. Be aware of classic and traditional poses in the art tradition. Acceptance of the responsibility to promote the welfare and best interests of students at all times. A demonstrable understanding and acceptance of the mission, values, goals and objectives of SCC. The ability to perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations and goals of the institution, community and technical college system. Demonstrated commitment to fostering and supporting a teaching, learning and working environment that honors diversity, equity and inclusion. Be physically able to provide a full range of body gestures and poses, from quick gestures to long, sustained poses. Be able to hold poses for the sustained drawings. Supplemental Information Applicatin are reviewed monthly for future assignments.
