Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain superior customer service to clients, advisors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Evaluate Premium Waiver Claims by reviewing documentation and investigations, requesting medical evidence as required, and assessing the eligibility of the claim.

  • Excellent phone call etiquette and ability to conduct telephone interviews.

  • Ability to review and interpret contract provisions.

  • Make decisions on claim eligibility and communication decisions to the client.

  • Document the claim file to ensure accuracy of claim handling.

  • Accurately maintain claim records on system to ensure accuracy of reserve calculations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • University degree in any discipline or equivalent work experience.

  • Fully bilingual (French/English): The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.

  • Customer service oriented.

  • Ability to respond effectively in high pressure or emotional situations.

  • Good analytical skills to evaluate conflicting information from various key sources to assess risk in making timely and effective decisions.

  • Proven ability to make decisions and handle pressure.

  • Adhering to Manulife’s core values.

Salary range is expected to be between

$44,775.00 CAD - $74,625.00 CAD
