Our client is looking for a creative Social Media Marketing Specialist to elevate the brand’s digital presence. In this role, you’ll manage social content, design visual materials, and run email campaigns that highlight incredible travel experiences while targeting a local audience. This is a remote opportunity to make a real impact with a company that values your ideas and encourages creative freedom. Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and manage content for Facebook and Instagram focused on engaging local audiences

  • Develop social media campaigns that attract qualified leads and reduce irrelevant inquiries

  • Design and manage bi-weekly email (EDM) campaigns, customizing templates creatively

  • Produce promotional materials (flyers, posters, event content)

  • Use Canva or similar tools to create eye-catching visuals of travel destinations

  • Plan marketing campaigns for special events like home shows and in-store presentations

  • Monitor campaign results and adjust geo-targeting strategies for better local reach

  • Ensure all marketing content aligns with the brand and its travel expertise

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in social media marketing (especially Facebook & Instagram)

  • Strong design skills using Canva or similar tools

  • Experience with email marketing and EDM tools preferred

  • Good understanding of geo-targeting and local marketing strategies

  • Creative mindset and attention to detail

  • Excellent English communication skills

  • Self-starter who can work independently and meet deadlines

  • Portfolio of past campaigns or design work

  • Background in travel or hospitality is a plus

  • Able to work during NZ business hours
