The Opportunity As a pivotal member of our hiring partner's nascent engineering team, you'll:

• Work closely with the CEO and CTO to bring products from 0 to 1

• Have the autonomy to steer key architectural decisions and institute engineering best practices.

• Dive into exciting greenfield initiatives: from crafting intuitive UIs for customer facing products and internal tools to facilitate human-in-the-loop AI, to developing scalable backend systems and state-of-the-art machine learning models

• Shape their company values and define their engineering culture

Requirements

• Take full responsibility for project deliverables, demonstrate initiative, and proactively solve challenges.

• 4+ years of intense experience with backend software development: web application development, demonstrated mastery in at least a single language or framework, creating and maintaining CRUD API endpoints, working with relational databases, familiarity with Docker, Azure or GCP

• Navigate engineering tradeoffs effectively, balancing speed with quality.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent hands-on experience in a software development role.

• Nice to Have Familiarity with Typescript, Nodejs, Postgres, Redis, tRPC, Vercel

• Experience in building search and recommendation systems

• Prior roles as a tech lead and experience in the fast-paced startup environment.
