Elementary School English Language Arts Tutor (Part-Time) - Inspire Young Minds!

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Elementary School English Language Arts Tutor to provide one-on-one, in-home tutoring to students in grades 1-6. You must be able to adapt to different learning styles and have the integrity and knowledge to encourage students to excel beyond expectations.

Job Overview

• Provide English Language Arts tutoring to elementary school students (grades 1-6)
• Develop and implement personalized lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student
• Teach students to improve their reading fluency, decoding, and comprehension skills
• Assist students with homework help, organizational skills, and spelling
• Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and provide progress reports to families and our office

Responsibilities

• Provide a session report for our office and families within 24 hours of each tutoring session
• Effectively balance tutoring hours for each assigned student
• Professionally teach students to fit their individual needs
• Service existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests
• Follow up with our office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field and industry preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring/teaching in specialized education fields preferred
• Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus but not a requirement
• Experience with basic database/data entry and ability to prepare lesson plans
• Strong administration skills, typing, PC, and recording skills
• Reliable transportation with current car insurance is required
• Access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone
