Job Overview

As a Digital Reporter (DR), you will play a vital role in overseeing civil litigation proceedings, capturing witness testimony, and utilizing digital tools to ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising proceedings as an impartial custodian of the record
• Administering oaths to witnesses and fulfilling duties as a State Notary
• Recording proceedings with high-fidelity audio technology
• Annotating case events and terminology accurately for precise transcription
• Conducting in-depth research and verifying information from various sources
• Utilizing digital databases and online research tools proficiently

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should:

• Obtain certification or state licensure as required
• Possess knowledge of U.S. civil proceedings or be willing to learn
• Have or be willing to acquire digital reporting equipment
• Be confident in moderating live legal proceedings
• Be fluent in English speaking, reading, and writing
• Be proficient with technology, including strong keyboard skills
• Demonstrate a professional demeanor, reliability, punctuality, and presentability
• Be willing to work as an independent contractor

No shorthand or stenography experience is required.
