About the Position

As a Pharmacy Technician at Molina Healthcare, you will be instrumental in managing pharmacy benefit programs, including formulary management, clinical pharmacy services, and oversight of medication safety and use policies. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional patient care and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough reviews of non-formulary or prior authorization requests against plan-approved criteria, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established guidelines.
  • Collaborate with providers to gather additional information, facilitating informed decision-making and prompt resolution of requests.
  • Accurately enter online approvals or denials of requests, maintaining meticulous records and ensuring seamless communication.
  • Initiate and complete simple prior authorization requests within established policies and procedures, demonstrating autonomy and attention to detail.
  • Contribute to the development and administration of programs aimed at enhancing drug utilization and identifying cost-saving practices, driving business growth and process improvements.
  • Identify and report operational issues and resource needs to management, fostering a culture of transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Provide exceptional support to Molina Member Services, pharmacies, and health plan providers, resolving prescription claim and pharmacy service access issues with empathy and expertise.
  • Clearly articulate Pharmacy Management policies and procedures to pharmacy/health plan providers and other staff, ensuring consistency and compliance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent, laying the foundation for a successful career in pharmacy technology.
  • 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, demonstrating a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and patient care principles.
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician Certification, validating your expertise and commitment to the field.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Associate degree, enhancing your knowledge and skills in pharmacy technology and related fields.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, showcasing your advanced expertise and potential for leadership.
