Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional veterinary medical care, embodying the Chewy mission and delivering the pet parent WOW experience.
• Implement policies and procedures, utilizing integrated technology to ensure consistent and high-quality medical care.
• Demonstrate expertise in patient care, including blood transfusions, dentistry, wound care, and anesthesia monitoring.
• Mentor team members, manage inventory, and handle client complaints with professionalism and empathy.
• Communicate effectively with team members, keeping veterinarians informed of patient updates and developments.
• Participate in self-development courses and compliance training to stay up-to-date with industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Successful completion of an accredited veterinary technology program and current licensure (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician in practice (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to complete the veterinary technician skills checklist for Veterinary Technician III.
• Strong communication, observational, and analytical skills, with a passion for connecting with clients and demonstrating compassion.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, self-starter environment with a strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Physical Job Requirements:

• Standing or walking up to 80% per shift.
• Frequently lifting up to 50-70 pounds using an optional team lift.
• Occasionally lifting greater than 70+ pounds using a team lift.
• Standing, pushing, pulling, carrying, squatting, and kneeling as required.
