Assistant Teaching Professor of Mathematics

Join Our Team at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus! We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Teaching Professor of Mathematics to join our faculty team. As a key member of our mathematics department, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic experience of our students and contributing to the growth and development of our institution.

This is a full-time, 36-week, limited-term, multi-year appointment with excellent potential for re-appointment, starting from August 2024 through June 2027. You will be responsible for teaching a range of mathematics courses, including basic math skills, college algebra, plane trigonometry, technical calculus, elementary statistics, and advanced-level calculus. Your teaching assignments may include day, evening, and/or Saturday classes, and you will be expected to participate in course, curriculum, and program development, as well as advise students and provide career guidance.

Requirements

• A Master's degree (for Lecturer) or Doctoral degree (for Assistant Teaching Professor) in Mathematics or a related field
• Commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment
• Prior college-level and online teaching experience preferred
• Interest in active and collaborative learning and the instructional use of technology
• Experience in MATLAB and Mathematica is an advantage but not required
