We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Customer Development Manager to foster strong partnerships with our retail customers, suppliers, and internal account teams. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving alignment and simplification across all three tiers of the distribution process, leveraging insights and analytics to support our retail customers and identify growth opportunities.

About the position:

In this role, you will utilize your deep understanding of insights and analytics to create and deliver actionable insights and recommendations, ensuring that our vendor programs are executed effectively in the field. You will stay abreast of analytic best practices within the industry, providing valuable information that aligns with our sales, margin, and market development goals. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver insights and recommendations using various data sources, including Point of Sale (POS) data, syndicated data from sources like Nielsen and IRI, and account-specific databases
  • Monitor the field execution of vendor programs and evaluate supplier performance to enhance our inventory logistics objectives
  • Analyze and report on category performance metrics, including sales, profits, margins, and market share, to identify trends and drive improvements
  • Develop, communicate, execute, and monitor performance metrics and goals, ensuring superior client satisfaction through hands-on analytics and collaborative problem-solving
  • Stay informed of analytic best practices across the industry and apply customer, consumer, and industry insights using market research data to deliver category growth

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and experience within the CPG sector; Adult Beverage preferred
  • Understanding of National Chain Sales, Retail, and Distributor operations
  • Expertise in category management principles and shopper/consumer insights
  • High level understanding of Category Management processes and practices
  • Assertive leadership and decision-making skills with high energy
  • Preferred experience with Syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI) and Internal Shipment Data
  • Strong foundation in business fundamentals and business finance
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and quantitative analysis skills
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience in the Adult Beverage industry
  • Familiarity with market research methodologies
  • Ability to collaborate with external retail customers and key suppliers
