Job Description

Project – the aim you’ll have: We are looking for a capable and motivated Intermediate Frontend Engineer to support one of our cross-functional product Teams. The role is ideal for someone with solid experience in frontend development who enjoys collaborative work, takes initiative, and is keen to grow further by contributing to complex projects in an agile setup. Position – how you’ll contribute: The Intermediate Frontend Engineer will:

  • Support the development and maintenance of frontend projects, including migrating legacy solutions and assisting with framework version updates.
  • Collaborate closely with our internal client teams and maintain clear communication with stakeholders on both the client and service side to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Actively contribute to the team by listening, asking questions, sharing ideas, and being open to new concepts and perspectives.
  • Help ensure high-quality standards in our digital products, making decisions based on data and user-centric thinking.
  • Share knowledge with team members and support others with specific technical questions. Occasionally, you may organize internal sessions to foster learning and knowledge exchange.
  • Identify challenges early
Qualifications

Expectations – the experience you need

We expect the nominated engineer to bring the following qualifications:

  • Solid Frontend Knowledge: Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, ES5/6, and TypeScript. Experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework (e.g. Vue.js/Nuxt, React/Gatsby, or Angular).
  • Code Quality & Testing: Understanding of clean code practices and familiarity with writing meaningful test cases using tools like Jest or TestCafé.Toolchain Experience: Confident use of Git, build tools (e.g. NPM), and experience in setting up or working within existing environments.
  • Team Collaboration: Comfortable working in agile setups (e.g. Scrum, Kanban), with a proactive and communicative approach.
  • Language Skills: Good communication skills in both German and English, written and spoken.
